Episode 26 - Dr. Strangelove

12 05 2008

This Week’s Episode:

We start out by going over some e-mail responses to our questions. Then we talk about Justice Scalia and his comments about torture. We also discuss Jeremiah Wright and his comments. We review Dr. Strangelove - Tom doesn’t think it is that bad and gives it a 2.85, Cecil thinks it is an absolute failure and gives it a .67. Tom and Cecil visit the psychics again and talk about yearly predictions. They finish up with a critical reinterpretation of Missy Elliott’s - “Ching a Ling.”

We had some problems with the sound at the end of this episode, so we remixed it and reloaded it. If you were one of the first people to download it, you may have to download it again to get the correct version.

Would you (T or C) endorse a recurring revision of law documents? How often? Who (whom) would vote? Was IQ testing established about a hundred years ago, missed George and Ben by a century…but wouldn’t we ask the Intelligenz-Quotient of the voters be that of the founding padres? The greater minds of the nation. If that is somehow established, how could we be aware of the truthfulness behind their motives/priorities when amending a document, like the constitution? Trust, intuition is of the essence from that point onward. Perhaps we are at an endpoint, so to speak for the reign of US superpower. (our nation being of the world’s people) Technology may have no endpoint. It is said by people like Ray Kurzweil, the next evolutionary step is living computers. May we draw a line between 2/4 of the hemispheres dividing those wanting to “progress” and those holding on to “tradition.” Mahatma Gandhi and farmers on one side, Bill Gates and Scrooge McDuck on the other.

p.s. I saw Dr. Strangelove or How I Learned to Love the Bomb in Grant Park. compelling flick on multi-levels. It’s good to hear and visualize you two and your families from Phoenix, AZ. I am happy you are all in my thoughts. Thank you.
